Does Doc have any facial hair?

Also, roll me a d4 and a d6...
My fire is more than can be made with forests,
My state more base than are the basest valleys;
I wish no evenings more to see, each evening;
Shamed, I hate myself in sight of mountains,
And stop mine ears, lest I grow mad with music.

I imagine he would have been sporting some extravagant mustachios...

A 2 on both die.

Congratulations, you've just gained a +1 in SLICK, making your SLICK score 0 instead of -1!

As Doc nudges open the door and peers into the room, a tomahawk comes flying through the air right at his face, trimming the tip off his right moustachio!

You feel the movement of the air against your skin and the axe buries itself in the wall at the back of the breezeway with a thunk.

You step back away from the doorway in momentary shock, then you hear a voice from within.

It's sounds like an incoherent rambling of curses, though you cannot make out a single word that's said. This is accompanied by a second voice: a hootin' an' a hollerin' an' a jabberin' of threats.

There's at least two more Loudmouths in the cabin, it seems!

Incidentally it is also the only way to 'level up' in FS: surviving by the skin of your teeth! ;)

Doc swiftly counts up body parts and breathes a sigh of relief when everything is accounted for.

"Well, Cornelius," he says, glancing at Cumflutter, "these varmints still seem to have some life left in 'em. Thoughts?"

Good to know! High risk, high reward... I can already see Doc meeting a grisly end in search of ever-higher numbers :lol:

I'll shout through the door: "We ain't here fer you fellas, we want the men in charge! The morons outside who attacked us are pushin' up daisies, but you can throw down your weapons and walk right outta here. Whaddaya say? Or do we gotta show you the hard way just what kind of a pickle you're in?"

Incidentally, if any of them do show themselves, I'd like to check whether they fit the description of any of the Loudmouth bounties.

(I am now imagining Cadaver Kid as Kurt Russell from Tombstone)

In reponse, you hear the sound of that incoherent mumbling again, followed by the second voice, speaking (or rather shouting), as if translating the first.

"I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE, MISTER, BUT WE AIN'T MOVIN' FOR NOBODY! THIS IS LOUDMOUTH TURF NOW, SO GIT ON OUTTA HERE IF YOU DON'T WANNA DIE!"

Shamed, I hate myself in sight of mountains,
And stop mine ears, lest I grow mad with music.

You could chop off a head from one of the Loudmouths outside, using one o' them knives...

"Fourteen bullets couldn't put me down, son. You really think you gonna fire the one that finally does?"

I light up a cigarette.

"Anyhow, let's not be strangers. My friends call me the Cadaver Kid, and it ain't 'cos I'm in the business of dyin'. You can call me Pains."
