Alas, just as they leave the Sheriff's office, a flaming building collapses onto the street heading north, blocking the way with burning debris!

They'll have to take a different route!

As Palace is laid out like a grid, there are parallel streets leading to the mansion, so you can take an alternative route to the west, running past the blacksmith's shop, or east, running past the residential houses.

Maybe we can pilfer some tools from the blacksmiths along the way? Residential streets just means we might attract more hangers-on.

What do Cumflutter and the Cadaver Kid have to say? West via the blacksmith's workshop, or east past the residential properties?

Both routes will reconnect at the mayor's house eventually, avoiding the burning roadblock to the north.
