Five of the Redrum Boys on the balcony are splashed with nitric acid; their skin melts off their bones in a violent hiss of brown smoke.

The other two, screaming, flee back inside the house.

The letters PTSD briefly flash across Doc's mind following the day he's had, but lacking the medical training required he dismisses them.

"Well, this could be a suitable juncture to make an escape of our own," he observes.

If the rest of the gang goes to look for the balloon, Doc would like to peep around the nearest corner looking to see if the coast is clear to reach his bike. "That was damn fine sippin' whisky," he mutters.

Before my next move, a few more questions about my dog spell:

- After transforming, does the caster retain their own thoughts and memories?
- What happens to the stuff they're carrying?
- Are there physical benefits, like moving quicker and/or more quietly?

I think you would lose the ability to carry your stuff, since it's hanging from a human frame; if you transformed into a dog I suspect all of this gear would drop to the ground and you'd jump out of your clothes in dog-form. You probably do have some advantages of hearing, smell, movement, etc.


This reminds me of Alone in the Dark 3 when you can transform into a cougar!
