Re: VR!

The problem there is it’s going to ge grotty. Have you looked into Leapmotion? Basically it involves strapping one into your headset but it worked really well when I tried it when I first got a Vive but not at full arm distance. With a sim your hands are always going to be close enough to track. It ...

Re: VR!

So knuckles! These things are pretty great but they aren't perfect. For me at least I could never quite get it to track my fingers perfectly and also be positioned comfortably but maybe I have weird hands. I probably have weird hands judging by the rest of me. It works more than well enough since ga...

Re: Currently Playing

Half Life Alyx So I'm not a big fan of HL. I love the original when youre not fighting aliens and I think 2 and its Eps have great ideas but terrible pacing that runs those ideas into the ground and just become a chore. Up till now the best half life was Uplink but now Alyx is by far the best Half ...

Re: Currently Playing

Darkest Dungeon Had this for ages but only fairly recently started properly playing it and its really good and really frustrating and really arse puckering. The last run I had my healer was so stressed out she kept having heart attacks but luckily her party heal kept her alive by the skin of her te...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Finished off Lovecraft Country and really liked it a lot but it is inconsistent. The second episode in particular makes it feel like a mid tier Outer Limits but others were really excellent, particularly liked the one with the Korean girl. It is batshit silly at times and that makes me like it even ...

https://youtu.be/l--4gu4CQBM Well I timed that well. Always knew Guinan had a thing for corn. Ive also been listening to the 4th Bobiverse "Heavens River" by Dennis E Taylor and really enjoying that too! Its much smaller scope than the first three which had multiple threads stretching across galaxie...

Re: I Just Watched (Films)

Saint Maud I was surprised at how good this was. I felt it owes a whole lot to The Witch without being derivative. It’s about a nurse who can (believes?) she feels the power of God in her, guiding her to do his work on earth. She becomes a carer for a terminal cancer patient and begins helping her ...

Re: I Just Watched (Films)

Same. Thought it was an impressive looking bad movie. But hayho, glad some folk get more out of it. I’m100% sure some of my favorite films would be considered bad by some of you  horses for courses!

No less of an achievement. Hell, that probably actually makes it more of an achievement!
