Re: Middle-Aged: Shadow of Gamor.

My gaming habits have definitely changed a huge amount in the last couple of decades. I can barely remember the last time I played a shooter, and I don't even bother playing/buying anything that requires twitch reactions or remembering complicated combinations of buttons - and as well as no FPS that...

Re: Indie Game News/Releases

Pretty savage piece on Peter Molyneux's next and, by the sound of it, final game: https://www.pcgamer.com/games/sim/peter-molyneuxs-masters-of-albion-looks-like-three-games-in-one-but-it-also-looks-like-none-of-them-is-any-good/ When was the last good game he made? Feels like it must have been over ...

Re: General Gaming News

I think a lot of it is down to simply the dangers of releasing a mid game into a saturated market. These types of game really need to stand out by virtue of either being excellent and/or bringing something unique to the table if they're to succeed.

This didn't, so...

Let's see how the community responds.
Well it's up to Mixed on Steam (from Overwhelmingly Negative lol), and looking at some user reviews seems like it's made a big difference.

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

My wife is a habitual phone-scroller while watching TV and it drives me crazy. It's the constant questions about what's happening, who people are etc, and heaven forbid if I leave the room for a few moments and come back and try to rely on her to tell me what I missed -_-

Re: General Gaming News

So remember that game trailer at the end of the Game Awards that everyone was dunking on... well, the game just released and... things have turned a bit ugly:

5k reviews, 18% positive

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

Just had an eye test and everything’s fine, but they put in some pupil dilating eyedrops that last about 6 hours and now I can’t see shit. Stumbling home, there was a woman walking towards me in bright white trousers and they were blinding. Typing this wearing sunglasses indoors like I’m one ...

Re: General Gaming News

No thanks. I'm happy to vote with my wallet and not support an organisation that has mandated AI use. Contrary to that, the Hooded Horse CEO has come out and said none of the games they publish will use AI in any form, so it's certainly possible and I'll continue to support their games. Which, hones...

Re: General Gaming News

Anything published by Microsoft is going to have AI crowbarred into it at every opportunity, so will be a skip for me. I wouldn't put it past them, but I didn't see anything to suggest there'd be AI shoehorned into Fable. I thought it looked pretty great. It's a business-wide mandate and devs/studi...

Re: Everyone seen it....except you

Love Coen Brothers films but never seen Blood Simple, Barton Fink or the Hudsucker Proxy. Actually I haven't seen anything between No Country and Buster Scruggs, but I don't think I'm missing much. No Country For Old Men is worth watching I've seen NCFOM and Buster Scrubbs, just nothing in between ...

Re: I Just Watched (Films)

Last night, randomly browsing Netflix looking for a decent film, ending up on The Life of Chuck , and really enjoyed it! Not entirely sure why I'd never heard of it before, written by Stephen King and directed by Mike Flanagan, which would usually put it immediately on my radar. Didn't really know w...

Well... coming from a family of teachers I can say that the National Curriculum is often only as good as the person supposedly teaching it. My mum once had to correct another teacher who told her class that the moon gives off its own light. #-o
I shouldn't laugh, but...
