Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

The deal helper is so very nearly useless. It would be way more effective if it would tell you what deals you're close to, rather than only activating ones your basket is eligible for. As it stands, you might be able to save a load by adding a single item, but there's no way to know. Just browse the...

Yep, same. There are things these LLMs are good at, and many many things they are not. Endless shitty implementations of shitty things they're bad at is exhausting. Smells a bit like Bitcoin and NFTs at the moment, they're bloody everywhere and also horribly useless and wasteful.

Re: I think i've been 'hacked'

If you don't already have one, might be time to get a password manager like 1Password, Dashlane, Bitwarden, etc. You can even put your 2FA tokens in there if it's a standard TOTP one, but that might be too many eggs in one basket.

Re: \m/ Metal \m/

Old man shouts at cloud? I was 100% on board with that but you reminded me of bands like Bullet For My Valentine which a young me also thought was cringe as fuck so young man also shouted at said cloud. -_- Hah, yeah that's fair. Daft name, but they've got some smashing tunes. You know it might be ...

Re: \m/ Metal \m/

I was talking with a guy about the new Poppy track (which mostly kind of fits that formula). He said it was "metalcore as fuck". I'm gonna stop right there, sounds like your friend has no idea what they're talking about. I̵'̵v̵e̵ ̵n̵o̵t̵ ̵h̵e̵a̵r̵d̵ ̵t̵h̵e̵ ̵t̵r̵a̵c̵k̵ ̵y̵e̵t̵,̵ ̵b̵u̵t̵ I've ...

Is this what makes metalcore?
Given I had absolutely no clue where you were going with this, absolutely not, no.

What band were you even describing?!

Re: The Room 102 thread - for things you love or just having a bloody good praise!

It's funny, I didn't realise this was even a thing that people could get worked up about until this very discussion. Yeah, me either. I'm really into music, and I love streaming services because the algorithms constantly give me new bands to discover. Loads of them aren't for me, but the feedback l...

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

I use comparison sites for every kind of insurance we have, for every renewal. I have no loyalty, and pretty much always find a cheaper deal, even if only a little. Seems like it would make more sense for insurance co's to prioritise repeat custom, but since they don't this is the dance we have to p...

I'm not yet convinced this guy is mentally unstable.
I'd argue that mentally stable people don't attempt murder, even when pushed!

Oh she 100% does NOT support Trump, that much is undeniable. Finally a chink of light in the Media blackout of truth, which I hope will escalate. This orange arse has gotten away with the big lie for far too long: https://youtube.com/shorts/BVp64s4wTXM?si=6x-T4UHxvZqcSA6t The metadata says that's f...

Somehow Disney were convinced it was going to be big, and they bought the lie so hard that they themed an area of their Animal Kingdom park around it, so they'll never stop pushing it.

Re: Currently Playing

Destiny 2 Gambit mode though has and forever shall remain a borderline unhealthy addiction for me personally It's very hard to get a feel for the general feeling towards D2, partially I think due to the very vocal and polarised player base. I never play The PVP mode (Crucible?), I am terrible at it...
