Re: Currently Reading

I quite enjoyed 2 but I do remember being a little annoyed at how much backstory there is, yeah. I think you may have a hard time with 3 but who knows, you might end up liking it! I recently re-read Imagica by Clive Barker - well, about two thirds before I drifted away from it. There was some fairly...

Re: Currently Reading

I've read all the Books of Blood, but that's about it for my reading of Barker. I read the first tale, The Midnight Meat Train , which I enjoyed, but I got bogged down in the next one and never continued. Ha, The Yattering And Jack is one of my favorite of his shorts! As for the sex, if it’s not hi...

Re: Currently Reading

Has anyone read the Abarat books by Clive Barker? I know they are YA which puts me off a little (though I love Thief Of Always) and the main character being called Candy Quackenbush really put me off  Those are the only ones of his Ive still not read because I just finished..... Galilee - Clive...

Re: I Just Watched (Films)

Wicked (Part 1 #-o ) The black lass has a fantastic voice its just a shame the songs are so lackluster and uninspired. I think they are the same as the songs from the stage show which I have never seen but I know is greatly beloved but man they are basic. The white lass (Ariana Grande apparently?) ...

I feel he sees gamers as his people and wants to look cool for them. He seems as insecure as he is arrogant.

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

Their big (only?) feature is it gps pings where the QR code is scanned but if someone is stealing your pet they won’t scan it or allow gps access and if they have the intention to return them they’ll call you. Plus not everyone understands or trusts QR codes so it could be detrimental. Plussss for a...

Pawtag

It’s a tag for your dog that instead of having your details on it it has a QR code which when scanned shows your details. £2.50 a month. For a QR code.

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Snowpiercer S4 Thats us wrapped that up and I won't tell you its masterful scifi but I did really enjoy it. Sean Bean chews some camp scenery and is a joy. Theres a lot of questionable plot elements and a varied level of lethality to the cold dependant on plot armour but overall it was a good ride....

Re: General TV News

"Alien: Earth 27 years post-Prometheus in the franchise timeline, instead taking place just two years prior to the events of the original Alien." So it's going to be super small scale on an island that gets nuked at the end to cover it up. I feel this is yet another crap addition to a story that sho...

Game *sorts played steam library by year* Puppet Master: The Game, Tekken 8, Balatro, Marvel Rivals and Caves Of Qud. So I think Qud would have easily taken it had I the time to get into it and the right frame of mind. As I didnt fairly easy win for Tekken 8 I guess! It is a massively packed fighte...
