Re: I Just Watched (Films)

Salem's Lot New version of the Stephen King vampire story. I read the book years ago and really enjoyed it. I remember seeing the tv show when I was young and it scared the piss out of me, re-watched it a couple of years ago and it hasn't aged well. Cheap tv movie. The film tries to land somewhere ...

Re: Starfield has a release date

I reinstalled Starfield a while back and played for a few weeks trying to get back into it. Uninstalled once I finally admitted to myself that there is little enjoyment to be found in this barren wasteland of a game.

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Stargate SG1 episode 200 First time I've seen this and it's probably the best self parody I've ever seen a show do. They really take the piss out of themselves and similar shows. It's something different every 5 minutes with a rip on Star Trek, Team America and Farscape to name but a few. I believe...

Re: General Film News

Seen a couple of early review of Joker 2: Electric Boogaloo, and it sounds like a bit of a disaster... Absolutely loved the first one, at first glance this just looks like a naff musical. Hope there's more to it than Gaga overacting and musical sections. Read a review that says it's over long and t...

Re: Currently Playing

Replaying this as well. Started it last year but got distracted by something else, my PS5 is utterly neglected. It's a stunning looking game, that scene as you're character is galloping through long grass and leans down to run his hand through it is beautiful. The combat is fluid and can end brutall...

I amazed there's still anyone who doesn't think he's a bellend. Edwin is starting to look like Joseph Seed from Far Cry 5

Re: I Just Watched (Films)

Interstellar Went to see this in an IMAX cinema last weekend. It's near the 10 year anniversary when it was released so decided to bring the gf who'd never seen it. Was amazing but I must say the volume was at an ear bleeding level and it was hard to hear the dialogue. The visuals are still stunnin...

That looks great, could recognize most of the games plot beats just from that short trailer.

This isn't going to help Ubisoft either  I think it's a sort of sequel to Ghost of Tsushima but set 300 years later, looks great anyway.

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

The Penguin The rare gem of a TV show thats just as good if not better than the film. While it's set in The Batman universe it's basically a gritty crime drama about the rise of Oswald Cobblepot. He's a very likeable scumbag and Collin Farrell is utterly unrecognizable under all the makeup. Really ...

Re: General Gaming News

There was another article (or maybe video) where it said the game had 2 million players in the first week and that's dropped to low thousands now on all platforms. Bad net code and a bit of a sweat lord fest has driven off most players. I'd like to see it succeed, Ubi can fix a game if they give it ...

https://gameranx.com/updates/id/509495/article/xdefiant-absolutely-not-dying-according-to-ubisoft/ Apparently the punk rock mosh pit isn't doing too well. We could have gotten a follow up the Ghost Recon Wildlands and Breakpoint by now instead of pissing about with a failed battle royale and mediocr...

I'm assuming from that it's animated? The resent Terminator show on Netflix was disappointing.
I only watched the first one so far, so is it not worth continuing with the rest?
It's not bad, just very mehhh.
