This should hopefully correct itself in time when your company profits start falling, I assume?

Re: General TV News

I imagine there will be a highlights reel at the start for all the plot-critical stuff.

Re: General Chat

Sorry for the slower pace this week, folks. I have the week off work which means I am not chained to my desk, so less opportunity to write!

Re: I Just Watched (Films)

Tried to watch something called American Outlaws from 2001, starring Colin Farrell as Jesse James. I watched less than five minutes; it was so bad I had to stop. What a joke. Then I tried to watch Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning . The first five minutes... with the Russian submarine ...were tense...

Re: I Just Watched (Films)

Seraphim Falls is a good one from that era. Saw that one in the cinema when it came out (I've been a fan of westerns for quite a long time). I don't remember what happens in it, but I remember enjoying it a lot. Probably worth a re-watch. One of my favourite Aussie westerns is Quigley Down Under .

Re: Scene VIII: The Neverending Forest

Doc sniffs the air.

The scent of the chess pieces seems to be coming from the south-west, where the frozen pool lies.

Re: Scene VIII: The Neverending Forest

The Bean Bunch, and their animals, leave the chess-masters to their (broken) chess game and head off toward the west of the forest clearing, pushing through the fallen snow while fresh flakes continue to rain down from above in silence. As they move further west, they catch sight of three sights of ...

Re: Scene VIII: The Neverending Forest

Doc, sniffing the chess board (much to the [mild] irritation of the two players) picks up the scent of the missing pieces on the wind, coming from somewhere to the west.

Doc will start searching the immediate area to see if he can locate any of the missing pieces.
Roll me 2d20 on a WITS check, Doc, to see if you can smell where the missing pieces might be.

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

"Your parcel has been delivered" says a notification on my phone's screen, which I noticed at 11 pm. The carrier is Evri though, so I had a bad feeling about it. And, of course, my bad feeling was not unfounded. At 7pm (the supposed time of delivery) the doorbell was never rung, nor the door knocked...

Re: Scene VIII: The Neverending Forest

The men, bundled up in fur coats and hats, stare at the Bean Bunch for a moment, taking you all in, then they turn back to their game, apparently disinterested in your presence, though you can tell, even at this distance, they're having a hard time of it with the missing pieces. Frustration is etche...

Re: Scene VIII: The Neverending Forest

All right, Stacob 'Cadaver Kid' Pains volunteers (since he's the only one with enough room to carry it) a bindle made from a lopped off tree branch and Doc's coat, containing all his personal effects! Doc trots along at his side. If you didn't know them, you'd think Doc was a faithful hound. In real...

Yeah, not a bad idea. I would probably let you roll at advantage (2d20) to sensory checks!

Doc has a knife.

But I was also thinking we could lay out the balloon remnants and Me, Jinx and Rufus could drag it along the snow sled-fashion...
I believe the balloon remnants are in the saddle-bags...an the horses ain't here.

The hobo bindle sounds like a great plan.
