I have submitted my entry into the competition, after three days of non-stop writing, editing and designing.
I now have a thousand-yard stare and my head is full of tumbleweeds. Give me some days to recover then I'll return to our adventure!

Re: General Chat
Apologies, gentlemen, there will be a delay in proceedings for the next few days; I am in the process of writing/designing a Frontier Scum adventure for a competition that ends in three days, and all my FS energy is currently focused on that! I will get back to the Bean Bunch as soon as I can!

Re: Scene VIII: The Neverending Forest
It's actually quite a large hunting dog. You may have to put it in the bucket and get the others to winch it up, then get them to lower it back down for you!

Yes. It's the law! ¬_¬Animalmother wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 10:58 amIs there an animal at the bottom of every well in this world?![]()
The dog, desperate, comes running to you and begins nuzzling its face against your hand, whimpering softly.

Re: Scene VIII: The Neverending Forest
Cowering at the bottom of the well (whose water is frozen solid) is a dog! By the looks of things, a sad, lost dog, who somehow got trapped down here.

Re: Scene VIII: The Neverending Forest
Cadaver Kid, lowering the bucket to the bottom of the well, slides down the rope into the dark depths.
It's pitch-black down here, but you think you hear something whimpering in the darkness.

Cadaver Kid peers over the edge of the well and sees nothing but darkness, nor does he hear anything below.

Re: Scene VIII: The Neverending Forest
Doc's canteen is empty, so he's going to attempt to melt some from the bucket with his lighter, to try to fill it up. Congratulations! You have found a source of fresh water! Everyone full up your canteens while you can! Cadaver Kid, before you go climbing down the well...roll me a WITS test. Doc, ...

Re: Scene VIII: The Neverending Forest
The Bean Bunch push through the silent blizzard, cold but not yet frozen. They head north-east through a passage in the wall of trees and find themselves in another, smaller, clearing, surrounded on all sides by a wall of thick pines. There does not appear to be any way out of here save for the way ...

Re: I Just Watched (Films)
Apaloosa This has to be the strangest western I've seen thus far in my western binge. The film's from 2008 so I expected to see something a little more modern in tone and style, but it had a very old-school vibe to it, like something from the 90s or earlier. What it boils down to, really, is seeing...
