Re: General Film News
I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt, it could still be a fun action flick, and some of the casting choices are pretty good (though I think Jack Black as Claptrap may actually be more annoying than the original voice actor, and despite that being the whole point of the character, that's not...

Re: General Film News
That trailer convinced me more than the first did, though it's possibly more to do with knowing more about the plot than we did before. Phoenix was incredible in the first, and from the little glimpses we get of his actual acting in this (which looks to be equally good), I reckon he's going to sell ...

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
Oh look, another right-winger making Nazi comparisons. Boy, they restarted doing that that quickly after blaming Trump's assassination attempt on left-wingers doing it, huh? Given he once referred to his daughter as a "communist that thinks anyone rich is evil", what's the betting that he just can't...

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
Good.* Now, can the Democrats please choose someone that is charismatic, able to call Trump out when he blatantly lies and doesn't have a glaring fault that he can seize on? As much as I utterly, utterly detest Trump, he's campaigning well, the Republicans are clearly united, and he has the "saved b...

Re: General Film News
I felt like I'd seen too much after just the first trailer, I haven't watched any of the subsequent ones.

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
I think the rhetoric is that "Islamists" (I'm repeating their language here, I'm not sure if this is more of a charged term than just using Muslim) are taking over Europe, and that this is some global conspiracy to conquer the West. It's easy to dismiss it as pure fear-mongering bullshit. ...but it'...

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
They're frequently using Britain to push their anti-Islam fear tactics. “We’ve seen what happened when Europe opened their doors to jihad,” the former U.S. president said as he campaigns for a return to the White House. “Look at Paris, look at London — they’re no longer recognizable.” Republican sta...

In other news, Trump's newly announced running mate thinks Britain, with our new Labour government, is the "first Islamist state to get a nuclear weapon".

This is a very specific annoyance, but cover versions of Billy Joel's We Didn't Start The Fire that aren't in chronological order. Sure, you got some historical events to rhyme, but you've only done half the job.

In Trump's defence, his ear is bandaged up, there's simply no way he'd have been able to hear her in a phone conversation.

At least JP Mandel is better than MTG. Still not sure if his megamaga thing is just an opportunistic act.
