Re: General Film News
https://deadline.com/2026/02/gundam-movie-casts-jason-clarke-netflix-legendary-1236717313/ Well ok. I suspect I'm the forum's only Gundam fan, so I'm also the person least likely to enjoy this. These projects always lose something in the translation from anime to live-action, particularly when done...

Re: Indie Game News/Releases
Pretty savage piece on Peter Molyneux's next and, by the sound of it, final game: https://www.pcgamer.com/games/sim/peter-molyneuxs-masters-of-albion-looks-like-three-games-in-one-but-it-also-looks-like-none-of-them-is-any-good/ When was the last good game he made? Feels like it must have been over...

I always thought those things looked awful to use. Never tried one myself, and I suspect I won't any time soon at that price.

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
Jerky and jerky-making is a hobby like any other. I googled the name Francis Derby, which is unredacted, and the guy's a professional chef that at one point worked at a famous restaurant called The Cannibal. I'm going to hazard a guess that this is just a name and they didn't serve actual human ther...

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
Don't take my earlier comment as my suggestion Epstein definitely killed himself, there's a mountain of evidence (or suspicious lack of such to the contrary) for something untoward happening and far too many powerful people with links to him. Honestly it's scary how well connected he's turned out to...

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
I'm sure Dave's mentioned having to restrict signups or something as the forum has been getting inundated by bots for years now. On the Epstein stuff; I can absolutely believe that the guy was murdered, there's just too much at stake for the people at the top, but I'm not really sure just how stupid...

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
Mark Kermode watched the Melania film. He does not hold back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTyUni8dbkE This is how every single story about Trump should be covered; mention a current event, then in the same breath mention one of the many repugnant things that administration is doing for the actua...

Re: General TV News
Is the first season of that any good? I wasn't terribly enthusiastic about the films (other than the first, which was fantastic), but I think that's the first bit of media I've seen for it and... it just looks like more of the films rather than some cut down TV version.

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cj0ngrjy22jo So the FBI are now taking possession of the original ballots from the 2020 presidential election, from a county that was a narrow win for Biden. The News Agents podcast have an interview with an election official from that county, who has what I think...

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
I don't think so. You can find the text for the Vienna Conventions online, and it doesn't really mention anything about violations of the convention. I suspect all that would happen would be Ecuador would lodge a complaint made to the UN. Given Trump's disdain for the UN, I'm not going to be terribl...

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
Looks like ICE agents attempted to enter an Ecuadorian consulate building in Minneapolis without permission, and threatened the member of the consulate's staff that stopped him. https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/a70173818/ecuadorian-consulate-us-embassy-copenhagen/ I'm not remotely surp...

I was going to make a joke about Donald threatening the UK with sanctions as a result, but I don't think he cares about his wife any more than we do.

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
Jesus, that's depressing; quality of writing taking a backseat to engagement. I shouldn't be surprised I guess. One of the bigger laughs I've had in the recent series of Rick and Morty was them subverting the "Here's the plan" trope. They had the voiceover of the planning phase with the actual event...
