Re: General Film News
Even the supposedly great Avengers movies I was starting to find too busy, ill-focused and a little tiresome tbh at the time, so any chance of me going to see any of these endless identikit variations they pump out these days are zero. Same goes for the TV shows. Although I'm maybe not the target ma...

Re: How would you best articulate feeling and dealing with 'Gamer Guilt'?
The thing with online gaming is you do need to invest a chunk of time into them each week to get the most out of them, I remember that vividly from my Countrstrike: Source days. You can't just dedicate an hour to them 3 or 4 times a week I found. I think Dave, it's obvious you don't need to justify ...

Re: I Just Watched (Films)
I think it's a brilliant film, and the general public reviews are all in the top echelon, unlike Tenet. But then I have no issue whatsoever with non-linear storytelling, so there's nothing holding it back for me. It's so well directed by Nolan, the way he composes scenes is beautiful to look at. It'...

Re: Tech assistance required!
If you have a multimeter, there is a way of checking the voltage throughput to see if the PSU is working fully or not. I've done it myself before when trying to work out whether it was the PSU or MOBO that's kaput (for me, it was the mobo). Sometimes when PSU's begin to fail they squeeze out enough ...

Even if they could have got it moving and firing, for much of the war Allies could send fighter-bomber raids at will across German front lines. It would be such a massive, slow target for Mosquitoes to get stuck into.

Re: Tim Woodwark?
I left WooF back in 2012 or thereabouts. If I recall they set up another forum, but it was a private proboards one.
If you search around for it you might find it. Not sure if Tim's still knocking about there or not.

Re: Starfield has a release date
One of the great things about Skyrim and Fallout 4 was the familiarity and sense of place in the world. You could climb up that distant mountain you see from a village, then eventually look back across the land from the mountain and see that village in the distance. Or that skyscraper in the citysca...

Noooo, was hoping for them to get the license for Commandos one day and do a remake.
Shadow Tactics is an absolute classic. Definitely my favourite of theirs.

Glock didn't let Hamilton past, he could barely make the wet corners on his slicks while Hamilton had the correct tyres on. I think Massa's been really poorly advised here. I do like him, he had a rough time with that head injury and he was unlucky to miss out - but this isn't going to help his repu...

Yeah, the first 3 books especially are definitely worth a read. Personally always felt he lost his way from the 4th book onwards, it all got rather bogged down, but it doesn't take away how good the first 3 were.

Talking of bombs, from what I've read the new Indy film needs $1bn box office to break even, maybe more depending on who you believe. Could be a monumental loss for Disney.

Re: The All Things Twitch Prime/Amazon Prime Thread
I played it a couple of years ago I think, for the most part it's really well done but I would personally pass on the new Beamdog content as honestly it's nowhere near as good as the original Bioware content Yeah, I'd heard something along those lines. I've loaded up the main game to see how it loo...

Thanks, I picked up BG2. It comes with Throne of Bhaal too.
I only own a DVD version of it and never tried the enhanced version.

Re: Starfield has a release date
But isn't it the case that the game will likely play fine (or as fine as you would expect for Bethesda) on both AMD and nvidia cards on PC anyway? Or am I missing something here? Plus, surely they were always going to partner with AMD anyway due to the console market. I wouldn't be surprised if this...

Re: Film analysis
There was just a care-free, un-stifled attitude to mainstream film-making back then. I don't know if we'll ever see that again.
