Re: General Gaming News

I’ve also had stuttering, as well as multiple crashes to desktop since the update. Had played for about 30 hours prior to update with none of those issues.

Re: General Gaming News

I don't think this patch is really aimed at people playing on PC, they seem to have focused mostly on console stuff from what I have seen. That's the most dismaying thing about it - they've bust a load of stuff on PC for little to no tangible benefit. They've added a smattering of Creation Club min...

Re: General Gaming News

It’s a proper mess, by most accounts. I’ve been playing Fallout 4 on PC for the last week and made sure that I didn’t use any mods that use the script extender because that has inevitably broken, along with all mods that depend on it. Nevertheless, the update has disabled the mods I was using. Thank...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Fallout One ep... I fooking loved the pre-bombs section. I thought that was really so well done. The rest is... well... it’s very faithful to the Bethesda feel. Honestly, it’s faithful to Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas too. Tim Cain gave it his stamp of approval, the showrunner has being playing them s...

Re: Gaming laptops and fan noise

I’ve had a couple of gaming laptops. On my older Razer laptop, the fans did still make a fair amount of noise when idle, especially in hot weather. Unfortunately it got worse and I discovered that the battery pack was swelling to dangerous levels, which was causing some serious overheating. On my ne...

Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread

Has someone made a change to the forum layout? My screen is 'backwards' with the details of the poster to the right of the post and the buttons at the bottom of the screen have reversed. I have used forums in the standard layout forever and this reversal just makes my brain scream wrong . EDIT and ...

To be honest, I can actually see Liam Neeson suiting the role.
I agree, I just couldn't resist an excuse to post that scene.

I would love them to prove us wrong and produce a genuinely funny film, but I can't see it happening.

And the latest threat of a classic film reboot is....

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

It's an absolute belter of a series. Loved it from start to finish.

In other TV viewing, I've watched the first two episodes of Masters of the Air. It's fine, not outstanding and certainly not a patch on Band of Brothers, but then what is? I like the attention to details in the flying scenes.

Really enjoying it atm, hope it lasts!
Yep, 3 episodes in now and it’s far better than I’d hoped for. They’ve nailed not just the feel of Fallout but the details too, not to mention the moments of dark comedy. A really fun and faithful adaptation so far!

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

I think I'm going to plough through them as quickly as I can, as my dad's trying to watch at the same time on my account, so I had to rewind from 48 minutes in when I started. It could end in tears if we're not careful.

Just watched episode 1 of Fallout.

I... I think they've done it justice. :o
