There is a table top sale at Steam - any recommendations ?

As an avid reader of FF as a kid I bought the digital bundle for a tenner.
Tabletop Simulator if you don't already have it, a great piece of software.

Re: Crusader Kings 3: on Steam and PC Game Pass

Yeah I agree Snowy, if you take Ireland for instance there isn't really a push for unification from all the other pretty kings, most are just happy to carry on as they are with the odd war. Having played multiplayer in CK2 it does add a bit more pressure as you don't get a chance to stop and think w...

Re: Time for a PC Upgrade

If you're happy to wait for the 30xx GPUs, you could also wait on the just-announced new AMD CPUs, the 5000 series. They're due out on the 5th November The current best bang-for-buck is the Ryzen 9 3900X I think . Of the new line-up the Ryzen 9 5900X will be the matching one. The 3900X is the top A...

Re: Time for a PC Upgrade

Is it specifically an Intel CPU that you want?

Re: The All Things AMD Thread

Yeah the 5600X is certainly higher priced than previous similar chips. Arguably though it is also a step up in performance to match the higher price.

Re: The All Things AMD Thread

It's worth noting that these new chips are actually more expensive than their Intel counterparts, so it'll be interesting to see how the real world benchmarks stack up. Of course with AMD you don't necessarily need to replace your motherboard, so for someone upgrading it's more likely to be signifi...

Re: The All Things AMD Thread

Zen 3 announced and they sound pretty good, Intel need to bring out something pretty special with their next chips to match this, especially as AMD are claiming single core performance is now up their with Intel. AMD Ryzen 9 5950X: 16-core, 32 thread, 4.9GHz boost, 72 MB L2+L3 cache, 105W TDP $799 A...

This game is suspiciously 'cheap' for a new EA game. Is it because there is basically nothing in it?
It's mostly just a multiplayer game with the solo stuff basically a tutorial, it's also lacking in maps with six in total I think.

Re: Star Wars: Squadrons

Not for me as it sounds like the only good stuff is multiplayer and that is not what I want from one of these games.

Re: Currently Playing

I've been playing Spelunky 2 for a few weeks as I grabbed it on PS4 and I've been enjoying it, despite not really playing much of Spelunky HD. It is very punishing at the start but I'm slowly getting better and discovering more tricks to see me through and increase my chances of survival. I do still...

Re: The 'Look What the Postman Brought Me' Thread - Technology Edition

It's pretty easy to buy a keyboard that doesn't have RGB. I personally like having the option of changing the look of my peripherals on a whim, but I mostly use the illumination for easier recognition of keys through the nose gap of my VR headset. My problem isn't that it's there, it's that I don't...

Re: Mafia: Definitive Edition [PC, PS4, XBone] - August 28th

Hm. With the disclaimer that I'm enjoying actually playing it (it's shinier Mafia 1 after all), I do have some reservations. I'm not a huge fan of some of the reworked character models - including Tommy and Paulie (the Don looks great, Sam is fine). Paulie probably the worst as he looks like a garg...
