Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Damn, that's a shame. It's been reviewing well, so I'd held out hopes it wasn't crap.

It sounds awful. When Win11 reaches its end of life I might have to seriously look at other viable OS platforms.

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

I've only seen the first episode, but I already feel comfortable recommending The Eternaut on Netflix. It's an Argentinian adaptation of a 1950s graphic novel about people surviving an alien invasion, which is kicked off with a deadly event that kills anyone caught outside when it hits. I've read t...

Wow, fantastic work! I've bought quite a few indie games after seeing them on your channel (most recently The Roottrees are Dead, which is great fun), so cheers for that. :)
Cheers!

Yes I enjoyed that one, even if I got roasted in the comments for not knowing what a second cousin is

On Saturday went to see the new Fantastic Four, thought it was pretty good actually.

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Just found out the actress that plays Dedra was the voice of Yennefer in Witcher 3, which is pretty cool. I can totally hear it now.

Classless and tasteless swines! :x
Finally finished Andor Season 2, the second half definitely made ploughing through the first half worth it lol.

Really makes me want to rewatch Rogue One as well...

Re: General Film News

Part of me wonders whether the jokes in the trailer were the only ones they could put in there, as all of the others are run-on, referential jokes (as that first review alludes to) that don't really work in a trailer format. With the exception of the Nordberg gag, everything in the trailers fell fl...

Re: General Film News

It's definitely piqued my interest anyway. Maybe not 'rush to see it in the cinema' levels, but when it hits a streaming service I might check it out, whereas previously I'd completely written it off.

Re: General Film News

I'll believe it when I see it. That reviewer didn't really strike me with confidence when he compared The Naked Gun to Spaceballs, presumably because they were from roughly the same era of filmmaking, and ignored the fact that they're very different styles of humour. The only thing I'm not surprise...
