Re: Battlefield 6
So I'm in a bit of a quandary here. BF6 is out next week and I really want to play it. The company has been sold to some morally bankrupt people and I don't want to support them. I also need to keep up my Xbox subscription in order to play online and I don't want to give those cunts money either. S...

Re: Currently Playing
Oh I kept them as Squires only until they got the JP boost passive, they've all moved on now (though I might bring some back to get the Speed+1 boost too). My MVP at the moment tends to be my Black Mage, just for being able to hit multiple targets at once at range, and I enjoy working around the de...

Re: Currently Playing
I think you're doing the right thing for now in levelling squire and chemist - something I returned to after ditching squire as soon as other jobs opened up. In particular, make sure to give everyone the JP Boost support ability, as it doubles the job points for every action and makes it so much qui...

Re: Currently Playing
I played War of the Lion on the PSP years ago. Absolutely cracking game. The biggest criticism I've seen of this new version is that it doesn't include the content created for War of the Lions. That's largely irrelevant to me as I wouldn't know what was created for that version anyway, but it does ...

Re: General Gaming News
Yeah, I've barely used it for ages, I mainly keep the sub up for the rare occasions my kids want to play Minecraft multiplayer.
I'll probably just buy the odd month here and there if something I want to play lands on it.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles I've been wanting to play FFT for the longest time (it has an incredible reputation), but it was limited to a creaking Playstation 1 version that really needed some interface and visual improvements. The story goes that the source code for the game was ...

Re: General Gaming News
I didn't play Thief 1 or 2 when they first came out, and by the time I got round to trying them they were just a bit too archaic for me, so Thief 3 ended up being my proper entry into the franchise.
I could definitely see myself trying a remaster of one of both of the first 2 games.

Re: I Just Watched (Films)
Barbarian is crazy for how the first half of the film you think it's one thing, and then it suddenly becomes something else. Not had that kind of tonal whiplash since From Dusk till Dawn.
I enjoyed it though.

Re: General Gaming News
The trailer is getting ratioed to oblivion lol, I must admit there was a fair bit of disappointment between reading about a remaster and then seeing it in action.

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
Yeah, love the Terror, Harris in particular is fantastic throughout. Well worth reading the book too, for what it's worth.
I've also not watched subsequent series, I've heard they're not as good.

So is this all anti-piracy stuff they've put on all their discs?

Re: I Just Watched (Films)
It's definitely one of my guilty pleasure films, watched it a couple of weeks ago in fact.
