Re: Arty Antics and Similar Stuff

I guess it'll depend on what the anxiety is surrounding. Prior to me doing this last year, I had huge feelings of inadequacy about my art ability, to the point where I wouldn't draw anything at all because I just assumed it wouldn't be good enough. Inktober helped me push through that, gave me just...

Re: Arty Antics and Similar Stuff

Nice line work.

I've been trying to push myself through the anxiety barrier to get back into drawing lately. Tempted to see if the Inktober challenge is any use for that.

Re: Upgrade Time

Is it trying to boot from the nvme instead of your Windows SSD? You have to configure the boot order so that it runs off the drive with Windows on with the others acting as slaves to it. Should be in the boot settings of your BIOs and fairly self explanatory once you're looking at it.

Re: Xbox & Microsoft News/Discussion

Debatable whether exclusives are defacto a bad thing. Some games wouldn't get made at all if console platform owners didn't pay the studios for development. Even if they're just a third party and not directly owned by Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo, I don't think it's unreasonable to want exclusivity on a ...

Re: Xbox & Microsoft News/Discussion

I don't think Sony have fallen behind this generation with their exclusives at all. They've utterly blown Microsoft away again which is why Microsoft are just trying to buy up already established franchises and studios to try and plug the gap. Microsoft have released absolutely nothing of note this ...

Re: Tim Woodwark?

Fraid not. Don't think we ever had that much crossover with WoO's place and PW so I'm not very familiar with most of the members from there. I think Wizard might be registered on here though, he may know.

Re: Starfield has a release date

On a planet I saw a ship landing in the distance, so decided to go and see if there was anything there. Firstly, I agree with the comment someone made about the game needing vehicles for planetary travel, as it's exceedingly dull to run and jet for entire kilometres. I passed a few points of intere...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Ahsoka 's been pretty good so far. Definitely up there in among the better spin-off shows we've had so far. The last episode felt like quite a bit of filler and unnecessary fan service, spending twenty minutes or so on fleshing out a character which pretty much has no real personality or developmen...

Re: Starfield has a release date

Well, I tried. I couldn't get more than two hours in before dropping it. Couldn't find a single thing about it that didn't feel absolutely bang average.

Yeah, they would have made more of an effort to integrate and infiltrate themselves within our society in order to avoid detection.

Re: General Gaming News

IPOs absolutely ruin companies. As soon as there's a significant shareholder interest in seeing some returns all drive to be a good company for their consumers is replaced by short sighted profit chasing. This will do so much damage to their userbase if they don't roll back on the announcement. Appl...

Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder

Not something I'd considered but I worked on the basis that I dropped haste with the intention of casting something else and then lost the rest of the turn so didn't cast shadow blade at all. So whilst I didn't get the benefit of the spell next turn I also didn't lose a spell slot.
