Decent gameplay, pants story... haven't played it but that does seem harsh. Still, it's Edge, so...

The usually wearily positive Outside Xtra team basically trashed it too, largely for it not meeting expectations (the reviewer is a big fan of the series), but bugs, busywork, forced stealth and just poor design in general were all factors.

Have to disagree about the poor design, I thought the puzzle design was better in this than the previous two games. The busywork felt much less relevant than the previous game too as the world was much more linear in nature so you pretty much got everything you needed by following the critical path. The major issue with the game is that it doesn't pop, it's well put together and mostly fun to play, but it doesn't make any real impact.
