Strange Brigade [PC, PS4, XBone]

Post by elgaucho » Thu Aug 16, 2018 7:00 pm

So i spotted this in my feed a few months back.

To be fair i have very modest expectations of it, but there's something about it that juuuuust grabs a little bit of attention, and makes me kind of want it to be a niche hit. Reality will probably kick in, but for now i'm keeping an eye on it.

Anyone else even vaguely interested in it?

I'm vaguely interested, will probably depend on the price as to whether I pick it up.

EDIT: I see it is £40 on Steam which is a bit much for me.

I'm really not keen on the half-arsed Pathé News announcer they're using. It just sounds tacky.

Agree - it's not a £40 investment. But it might be a sale item pickup, if the price is right, and reviews indicate there is some substance to it.

Oh what I'd do for another No One Lives Forever game. Just the silly voiceover reminds me of one my absolute favourite classic games.

Nightdive Studios are working on updating the previous NOLF titles :). Maybe they will spark Monolith to doing more of them.

Strange Brigade sounds like it would be a much better game at £25. Think I'll wait till it drops in price.

Not sure that sticking all the actual new content in the Season Pass is a good move for a game that was already expensive to start with and has received complaints for being slight content wise. Rebellion should be looking at how Fat Shark supported Vermintide and how Overkill supported PayDay 2.

This has finally hit a price I might consider picking it up at on Steam at £11.99

Anyone else still vaguely interested in it?

I am but still not at that price. For any potential co-op game I have to buy everything twice (one for me, one for my son). But having seen battlefront 2 for such a low price I might bite at that one unti this one coes down to about a fiver level.
