I'd better boot up and leave my PC on for about a week, then!

I wish I didn't live in the forgotten lands of the internet. 😒

And that's the story of why I'm not allowed near pregnant women for the next few weeks.

How big a download is it? The Xbox app lists every system spec except for drive space.

Had a look on the Xbox Game Pass and unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an option to pre-install the game yet other than a small 400Mb file. Be nice to get it done now rather than on release date.

It's a pretty big install but still nowhere near the ridiculous 200Gb+ for the latest CoD games.

I think it's Warzone that brings the total up. 194gb for the latest main game plus Warzone, apparently.

I've got Warzone installed. It could be massively inflated by 4K assets though, I've only got a 2K screen.

I think I've got everything installed, unless there's any optional bits you have to opt-in to. I play DMZ and Multiplayer most of the time, maybe I'm missing the campaign (though I did try it for a bit when I first installed).

Edit: Campaign, Co-Op, Multiplayer, Warzone installed, total of 96.79GB.

I've preordered but it seems like there's some drama around review copies not being provided to a number of outlets. I seem to remember that happened with the 2016 Doom reboot and that game slapped so hopefully it's just a weird Bethesda control thing and not a "we know we're dropping a turd lets hope we can ship a load of copies before people realise" thing.

Apparently it's mainly UK reviewers not receicing copies, so it could be MS sulking over the UK blocking their Acti-Blizzard deal. Incredibly petty if that's the case.

I've got the premium edition pre-ordered (I rarely sub to Game Pass and I expect I'll be playing Starfield a LOT - also there was a sizeable discount on GMG), so I'll be diving in tomorrow morning. :D

Nice.

I'll be playing on GP so I'll be trying it regardless, but would be interested in hearing your first impressions :)
