Yeah, I've watched a few episodes of Danger Island tonight, and while I wouldn't say it was bad per se, it does feel like they want to make a drama rather than a comedy series. The characters just don't interact like they used to.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has just started season 13 with a… thud? Certainly not a bang. Hoping the season improves from here.

Wow, and on the same day season 2 of American Vandal is out!
And BossLogic does all kinds of art stuff. I know him from his UFC event posters, which are pretty much ALWAYS better than anything the UFC turn out themselves.
Talented guy.

Watching Yellowstone atm, fantastic gritty neo-Dallas, worth a watch for the Beth Dutton character alone.
We also saw the first episode of Sharp Objects last night, looks like another gripper, well acted....

And the day after the new It's Always Sunny premiered (which until yesterday I hadn't known was even coming out with a new series, and with Dennis back no less).

Stranger Things S2
Not as compelling as the first season. It is a pretty decent sequel and the fact it had 9 episodes is perfect.
Good character development. Gore and scariness was about right but the 80s nostalgia magic was missing when compared to the first season
8/10

The Sinner S2
It’s very good, just as good quality as S1. I was a bit worried since S1 seemed like it was self contained but this was a good way to continue it.

I think it was massively rushed out. I don't believe they imagined how popular the first would be. It was a great first season. Rushed but still good second overall

Yeah, I felt the same about Stranger Things. The first season was so great, and it was always going to be difficult for season 2 to live up to expectations after the surprise success of the first.
House of Cards Season 5
After a fantastic first two seasons I trudged through 3 and 4 which I barely remember because they're so bad (not just by comparison) so it's taken me a while to get round to season 5. Overall it was pretty dull and slow, though not quite as bad as 3 and 4. There's some nice twisting and turning in the last episode or two, but still it doesn't hold a candle to the first couple of seasons. They should have just stuck to three seasons in total like the original show.

Think I stopped with House of Cards after season 3 or early season 4. It just lost most of its momentum. I think early on it suited having a longer running time than the original BBC one, but later on it just got a bit baggy and slow.
