Well that looks atrocious and I've been a fan of Kraven TH much of my life. I guess it is going to be Morbin time once again quite soon.

My entire knowledge of Kraven comes from the 90s Spiderman cartoon. I was not aware that his whole deal was that he accidentally got some lion blood in a cut. Was it not even a radioactive lion?

Well that's the entire film in the trailer anyway. I always remember him as being the villain of the cartoon, am I wrong? Also Russell Crowe is starting to look like 90's era John Goodman.

I know it's something they would have preferred not to have to do, but despite appreciating the gag element of it, I have to say I think Solar Opposites' attempt to replace Roiland is... not good.

Hoping R&M go down the soundalike route instead...

That is a weird choice.

I'd have expected the "haha, sounds like that now" move more in R&M tbh.

Hoping they just get this guy in, he's literally a voice actor and Roiland himself says it's scary close:

So the next season is a prequel?

HBO shows like Band of Brothers and The Pacific are going to be available on US Netflix, no word if they'll be on outside the US. I assume Sky has a monopoly on those.

Umm, they're talking about a stage show.

But yes, I suspect if Sky have paid for it, we're not going to see it on anything else, at least not initially.

The new series of Frasier has a trailer. Yes, that does unfortunately mean that they're actually making it.

It does very little for me, although in fairness I don't think the first 11 seasons would have made for great trailers either as a lot of the better writing constantly called back to earlier parts of an episode or even the same conversation, and taking individual lines from one wouldn't have been funny without that context. I just can't imagine the show without Niles, someone equally sophisticated but even more neurotic than Frasier that helped to balance Frasier's pomposity, not to mention the fact that Niles Crane is one of the best written and performed comedy characters of all time.

The writing was always the strongest part of Frasier, and it remains to be seen if it's going to be the same with the new series.

While I like Rodney he looks like a poor man's Niles, meanwhile the son and his wife just don't work for me at all on that viewing.

Same here. Seems like they're meant to represent the everyman role to counter Frasier's airs, but the reason that worked with Martin was because he had street smarts, down-to-earth wisdom and a lot of parental patience. Most importantly, he was immensely likeable. That's going to be a tough role to fill. And yes, the lack of Niles is almost a straight-up dealbreaker.

Frasier is one of my favourite shows of all time, so I'll be watching this with trepidation.

Trailer for the new season of Rick and Morty is out.

Rick barely sounds different at all, and Morty's certainly close enough for it not to be distracting.

Rick seems widely inconsistent to me. Some lines are near enough the same but others sound like a bad impression of him.

All things considered they've done a decent job of getting a couple of soundalikes in... and that is waaay preferable to what Solar Opposites did
