Cloth or wool (or even silk) is fine, just don't put on your leathers. ¬_¬

It's very good. I thought I'd introduce the rule, or a softer version of it at least. The leader and myself will each roll a D12 each time monsters are discovered to see who surprises who, and goes first.

I'm thinking you're all a bunch of savvy adventurers, so will give you +1 on your roll anyway. The elf will give you another +1 if you choose to include one.

There will be the odd battle where monsters get the drop on you though...

I guess it depends how high your starting BS is. If it's very high, you can get away with some light armour.

Sly, I take it you followed the Elf-specific rules for creating the character? Like D6+4 for WS, D6+5 for BS, etc?

In which case, just add 2,2,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,10 to your H2H combat section, and 3,4,5,6,7 to your Ranged Combat.

Your Longbow range is 48, with 4 damage dice. Fumble 1, Critical 12. Your sword is the same, 4, 1, 12, apart from no range....

Doug I've noticed you've gone for a crossbow instead of a longbow. The crossbow needs a whole turn to reload, I'm wondering why you chose that instead of a long bow? Is it just because it's 10 cheaper?

You'll be able to afford the long bow before we embark on the quest. ¬_¬

Place a fireball template anywhere within 12 squares of the caster within his line of sight. Any models, friendly or enemy, which fall under the fireball template are hit, suffering 5 damage dice of injury.

FORTITUDE
Component: Corundum Globe
Using the power of mind over body, the Wizard heals the wounds of himself or any one recipient, restoring all Wounds to maximum. The recipient must be the only model in the Wizard's Death Zone at the time of casting.

SOUL STEEL
Component: Suspension of Amaranth
With this spell, the Wizard or a recipient within 6 spaces is revitalized with the resilience of the Amaranth, adding +1 to Toughness until the next exploration turn.

ALTER ALLEGIANCE
Component: Sheet of Expensive Parchment
The Wizard tears the parchment in two. Combat seems to cease for a moment, then resumes as if nothing has happened. The Wizard may choose 1d12 enemy models within 6 squares. Each must make an Intelligence test. If the test is failed, the model changes sides; it is now controlled by the Wizard. This lasts until the end of the next exploration turn, then the model runs away.
Tichinde, before you go any further, I should warn you that Dwarves are not as capable as humans or elves when it comes to wizardry.

They can only know 2 spells to begin with, and learning new spells between expeditions costs twice as much!

Plus, each time you attempt to cast a spell which requires no intelligence test, you will still need to pass an intelligence test otherwise the spell fails and the component is wasted. For spells that do require an INT test, you will need to pass 2 tests.
