Another Amiibo just turned up at my door...

Image

Slightly confused I had to check my order history. Turns out I ordered this on February last year.

Society may be crumbling but there's still plenty time to buy pointless tat...

Hygienically left on the doorstep by my friendly neighbourhood DPD guy.

I have hit peak middle class with a Kitchenaid Artisan stand mixer.

Image

Made chocolate chunk cookies for a first test, which turned out pretty good (despite the recipe author's blatantly incorrect oven timings; I had to put them back in for nearly 75% more time than they suggested). Baking is something I've never really bothered much with, but kinda wanted to do more of. Now I can do it while remaining incredibly lazy.

No, I am not naked in the reflection.

Aww. :(

I was hoping there was another hookcock sufferer out there as well.

Continuing my dive into deepest middle-classness, I have imported two cases of wine from Portugal, having been tipped off by a colleague. It's ridiculous how much we pay for wine over here; the stuff I've opened tonight would probably cost £8-10 in a British supermarket, but was €3.75 a bottle. I doubt it's worth doing unless you're buying as much as that, but at about £80 for 24 bottles including the shipping cost, it's hardly ruinous.

Just got myself a new keyboard (a Yamaha EZ-220), arriving today:

I've always dabbled with piano, never properly learning how to play, and I'm keen to change that now. Not least because my dad and sister are both excellent pianists and I'm jealous. The 1985 Clavinova I've got (handed down from my parents) is borderline unusable as the sound keeps cutting out, plus it's the size and weight of an elephant. This will fit nicely on my desk and stand beside it when not in use.

The fact that it hovers ominously amidst a white void is also concerning.

Colour me interested. Do you have the details for this?

I can refer you if you'd like. PM me an e-mail address and your name and I think we each get a €5 voucher. That goes for anyone else too.

https://www.portugalvineyards.com/en/ is the site for anyone that doesn't want a referral.

Figured this might be the best place for the guys of the forum.

What beard trimmers do you use? I'm a beginner to this and really want to trim not shave off everytime.

Cheap Phillips jobbies from Boots, cost about £15 10yrs ago, still going strong.

I bought this in Jan 2014, and have just used it to take off 2 weeks growth ready for a close shave, so it is durable and long lasting.

The current version is:

No-brainer at that price. \:D/
