Forum Downtime

Post by Mantis » Mon Nov 19, 2018 9:01 pm

I will be performing a significant overhaul of a few things on the back end of the server at some point over the next week. This is just a quick heads up to say that the site may experience some offline time whilst this work is carried out. At the moment I don't have an ETA on when I will be doing this, but I'll update in here when I have a solid time scale.

I'm hoping that we won't be offline longer than is necessary to sort out a few domain edits.

Wouldn’t happen if Prey was running the joint!

Or there wouldn’t be a forum to maintain ;)

Yeah, you wouldn't have caught Prey disappearing for long periods of time, only to return intermittently with threats to close down the forum... ¬_¬

Still miss Prey. :(

Was this tonight?

I don't want to say how long I was sitting here refreshing the forum every so often, thinking 'cripes, you chaps are quiet tonight', without realising I'd been logged out

It was hours, though.

Yes, but there's no reason that you should have been logged out because of it.

Not sure if it's related but yesterday afternoon I was logged out and Chrome had forgotten my stored password for some reason, and since I'd also forgotten my password I had to reset it.

Yeah, this is what happened to me, but I was able to go into the settings on Chrome and find my password for the site.

I find Chrome logs me out every now and again.
