My new garden shed BLEW OVER with my and my wife's bikes inside. The shed is damaged, the doors have detached, and the bikes are all tangled up on the ground. Who knows what kind of state they're in. I don't have time to sort them out as I'm busy at work.

Blasted wind.
Shitty news mate. Hope your bikes are ok. I'm sure everything will be fine, but still, it's a rubbish situation.

I blame the tree tbh. If it has been cut down none of this would've happened. :P

Actually, leaving that tree there turned out to be a blessing; it blocked the shed from tipping upside down and possibly rolling across the yard.

None of this would have happened if I had been able to convince my wife to buy a better-quality shed.

There we go. I was looking for an angle for you to blame the wife and you've found it! :D

It sometimes requires incredible feats of logic-twisting, but there's always a way if you try hard enough :)

Plus you have the added bonus of throwing in a wee bit of praise for her stance on the tree situation. Then hit her with the smart price cardboard shed argument. The old 1-2!

I got furious the other night when I went to make us both a cup of decaf as is our wont in the evenings, and ended up spilling most of the jar down myself because the lid hadn't been fastened properly the previous time. I still am a bit. Naturally the finger of blame fell onto the spouse

A while back I stubbed my toe, and she just looked at me without sympathy and said "you're trying to work out how this is my fault, aren't you?" Oh, how we laughed.

She was right though.

Ever had the old lid not on the orange juice properly? That's always a fun one.

Everyone knows I'm a vigorous shaker, none more so than the missus. Despite what she might claim the onus is not on the shaker to check the lid is secure that responsibility lies with the previous user of the bottle.

This guy gets it! :D

Oh, my sister used to be terrible for not putting the lid properly on the ketchup (and this was pre-squeezy bottles) when we were growing up, came a cropper with that one on more than one occasion.

I've held my finger over every bottle top or cap I've shaken for the last twenty years after my brother accidentally shook a bottle of ketchup over a stranger we were sat behind in a cafe.

S'blowing a gale.

My bloody watering cans were right at the bottom of the garden when I got home the other evening.

Quite unsporting.
