With your higher weapon skill and toughness than me, you're probably more suited to being the tank here. But for now I might as well stay in this position, to protect the wizard.

Also guys, you can use a fate point both ways - to turn a miss into a hit. I personally won't, because I've only got 1 left, but some of you could think of doing that now.

I'm not sure what spells Paulox has left to use....
Limited utility in this scenario, I think. I can scout into an unexplored room or area, or heal someone. The latter might be useful after this fight, but if this quest will end shortly thereafter I might end up holding fire.

I have a couple of daggers, so my tactic from now was just to stand somewhere I could lob them at the warlord.

Reading the AHQ rules you posted before, it looks like in a campaign I'd have the opportunity to purchase some pretty good spells ahead of the next quest, so if we do continue I wouldn't mind doing it from that place rather than starting from scratch again, as it were.

Yeah, I already have an idea for continuing with extra gold before the next quest. You're all going to be needing extra gear for that one. ¬_¬

Yes, I think it's a good idea to keep your characters for any future quests.

On that note, Maturin can decide how much the Baron pays the Heroes after the safe retrieval of the Halfling, and that money can be used to fund the next expedition. I know as the GM I ought to make that decision, but I'm not very good at this RPG/DM business, being more of a plain old board-gamer myself, so I'll leave it in the hands of the experts. ¬_¬

What's the plan then? ¬_¬

Well, I think myself and Bellis will be attacking from range with daggers and bow respectively, so I guess we're waiting for Terence and Gibnar.

Although with the doorway blocked I think our only real option is for Gibby to attack diagonally again. If I move down a tile and Gibby moves up one, do I have LoS on the warlord?

Although... is Terence locked into that spot for this turn, or is he now able to move away from the doorway?

Terence is free to move wherever he wants; you only have to stop in an enemy's "death zone" if you're moving through it from outside it. It's fine to move out of it once you're in it.

Paulox can't see the Warlord unless he moves one space East from his current position. If he tried to throw a dagger from that position it would count as a distance of 4 spaces away (so Paulox would have to roll 6+ to hit).

Ok, well that helps.

A bit of a basic plan, but if Terence can move round a bit and let Gibnar move into the room and engage the warlord as well, then I can move into the doorway tile and have a better chance to hit perhaps?

But let the chaps decide their positioning.

Okay, assuming I'm going first, I'll move around the warlord and attack him from the north! Putting myself between him and the chef.

Assuming that's a hit, I roll my 4 D12s:

Roll(4d12)+0:
4,7,2,5,+0
Total:18

I think they're all misses!

Well, you hit, but no damage. He's pretty tough that guy.

Who is up next?
